Southern Cape Old Car Club
Purpose of the club
The Southern Cape Old Car Club, based in George in the Southern Cape promotes the
interest in and the preservation of older generation motor vehicles through various activities
including rallies and family social events.
The Club was established in 1988 at an inaugural meeting of nine old car enthusiasts and
membership currently stands at about 250 families. The Club is also proudly affiliated with the
Southern African Veteran and Vintage Association (SAVVA).
The aim of the club is to assist in the acquisition, preservation, exhibition, maintenance and
use of motor vehicles dating generally from Veteran and Vintage to vehicles manufactured by
at least 1975 and also to promote competitions, rallies and other social events with the
emphasis on family participation.

We are very proud of our recently acquired clubhouse
“The Gully” which is siutated at Glenwood House
College, Glenwood Avenue, off Saasveld Road in
George. We hold regular social events there - every 2nd
Friday night of each month there’s a bring & braai from
6.00pm. Please feel free to join us.
